Set to a cover version of the song He, sung by Richard Butler from The Psychedelic Furs, the clip shows Affleck's character, Nick Dunne, appealing for knowledge about his missing spouse Amy, played by British actress Rosamund Pike.
The first trailer of the film adaptation of Gillian Flynn's best-selling novel Gone Girl, starring Ben Affleck, has been released.
The dark trailer, which contains small dialogue, ends with Amy floating underwater as well as a voiceover from Nick saying: "I did not kill my spouse. I am not a murderer."
Nick is the main suspect in Amy's disappearance on their fifth wedding anniversary & the film appears to follow the book's plot closely as police try to uncover the truth.
Flynn's book was published in June 2012 & by the finish of its first year on the shelves it had sold over million copies in print & digital editions.
The film is directed by David Fincher who also directed The Social Network, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo & the hit television series House Of Cards.
Gone Girl will be released in the United Kingdom on October three.
